Di ritorno da Firenze, dove ci siamo trattenuti qualche giorno mio marito ed io, non posso fare a meno di scrivere il nostro parere positivo sull'hotel Annalena, che si trova sull’altra sponda dell’Arno, nella Firenze vera, fatta soprattutto di fiorentini e non solo di giapponesi o di americani. Da lì, in breve o con una bella passeggiata a piedi, è possibile raggiungere la storia, l’arte e la bellezza di Firenze.

Ho soggiornato all'hotel Annalena a maggio 2011 con la mia fidanzata e una coppia di amici e devo dire che siamo rimasti estremamente soddisfatti sia per la cortesia del personale, sia per le stanze, pulite e comode. Buona la colazione.
L'albergo è in zona Pitti, vicino ai giardini di Boboli, ed è molto comodo per arrivare a piedi in centro.

Pretty charming pensione with the antiques, not a generic hotel feeling. The showers are not the best, as others have said, but given that its Italy, its adequate. Its quiet and we slept well. Good breakfast with pleasant made to order coffee drinks. Spring for a room with the balcony. If you like to be away from the droves of tourists, this area is great, just be prepared to walk 20-30 minutes to the sights. Wish we would have tried the cash payment option someone else wrote about, as this place is not cheap.

The hotel is perfectly located, at a short walking-distance from the historical center of Firenze. Rooms are fresh, clean and provided with individual terraces that overlook a nice garden. Bathroom is ok, provided with all needed toiletries. Breakfast is served in the magnificent main hall of the hotel, a good start for the day. Coffee is excellent and food is ok for an Italian standard (breakfast is never the best know-how of Italian hotels however).
As far as I am concerned, the Hotel Annalena is the best value for money that one can find in Firenze..........

Ein Bijou in Florenz! Wir waren zwei Nächte hier. Eigentlich haben wir in einem anderem Hotel gebucht, aber die haben eine Überbuchen gemacht. Die Rezeptionistin hat uns im Annalena ein Zimmer gebucht und wir waren so glücklich darüber! Super Lage; über die Rialtobrücke und am Palazzo Pitti vorbei bis zum Tor. Und dann kommt man da hinein und es hat eine riesen Treppe und eine Eingangshalle - typisch Italienisch (aus Sicht von Nicht-Italiener!). Die beiden Herren an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit............

Abbiamo soggiornato a novembre, per la seconda volta in un anno, all'hotel Annalena. E' un ambiente di enorme fascino e atmosfera, estremamente silenzioso e confortevole, avevamo una camera affacciata su un magnifico giardino, arredata, come tutto l'hotel, con mobili antichi e pregiati. Ottima la colazione, comoda la posizione, vicina al centro ma fuori dalla confusione delle vie principali.Gentilissimo il personale, che ci ha fornito anche un lettino per il nostro bambino....

I've stayed at the Annalena twice now, and must admit I'm a fan of the place. What I will qualify my review with first is the knowledge that much can depend on the room you are given. On my most recent trip, the cheap single room I had booked at late notice turned out to be the worst in the place (dark and narrow - could touch both walls simultaneously). However, the room I then upgraded to was a world away......

Antonio at the Annalena was SO helpful to our family. We decided to visit Florence the day before arriving! Antonio secured tickets for us to Uffizi and Academia even before we committed to staying at the Annalena.
Our room was very big for 4 people. The breakfast was great. The hotel does need some work, but the value is hard to beat!

Hotel Otimo, localização perfeita, na parte antiga de Firenze, queremos agradecer ao carinho com que fomos recebidos por Heitor brasileiro, por Antonio que estava sempre pronto a ajudar, a Giuliana, a Mismel e Nasir.
Recomendo e vou voltar a Firenze neste mesmo hotel.
Fine Hotel, perfectly located in the old part of Florence, we want to thank the care with which we were received by Brazilian Heitor , by Antonio who was always ready to help, Giuliana, the Mismel and Nasir.
Recommend and go back to Florence in the same hotel.

“Very nice stay in a quiet section of Florence”
Our trip to Florence was enhanced by 3 nights at the Annalena. Do read a bit about it's history before your stay. The steps were daunting but worth it for a room with impossibly high ceilings and a window that overlooked gardens and singing birds. It was a wonderful respite from the noise and craziness of Florence

It's good to find out that the hotel has its own web site. My husband & I stayed in Annalena Hotel sometime in May 2000 during his business trip. Love the ambience. Nice hotel to stay. Missed Italy so much.

Ci si sveglia con il canto degli uccelli,si procede con una ricca colazione sul balconcino pieno di fiori,si continua con una passeggiata per il centro di firenze ,grazie all'impareggiabile posizione dell'hotel ( proprio difronte a uno degli ingressi dei giardini di Boboli, a due passi da palazzo Pitti ). Soggiorno pieno di fascinazione e di immersione nella storia e nella cultura, grazie alla intelligente scelta dei gestori di mantenere mobili e suppellettili d'epoca, coniugati con gusto ai confort più moderni. Siamo stati benissimo e torneremo volentieri. Lo consigliamo vivamente.

My wife and I stayed in Annalena for 7 nights and found the staff very friendly and the room both pleasant and clean. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the air-conditioning a god-send as the weather in August was very hot. Whilst the room was well proportioned the bathroom was very small, however it was spotless and everything worked and we were provided with fresh towels each day. A wonderful oasis of calm to which to retire after a day spent seeing the sights of Florence.

The hotel is very well located in a quiet and a beautiful area of Florence the Oltrarno..opposite the Annalena gate for the Boboli Gardens and near the Pitti Palace.
Yes there are steps and no lift , but gentle and elegance in a small hotel. My late teenage daughter and I stayed here 2 nights and 4 in Pisa for travel to Sienna, and Lucca. In retrospect we should have stayed the other way around. We upgraded, at a reasonable cost, (rooms booked at a very good rate) to a very large suite with bath ( room 5) that would sleep 4 and had done when my daughter stayed in the same room for her Art history trip the previous year. This was because the next door room we originally had accessed the balcony terrace via a low window to climb out of - not a French door! The Annalena gardens below are a rustic garden centre complete with cat and birdsong every morning.
The rooms are beautiful and clean with all facilities inducing armoire and original tiled antique room stove and a pleasure to spend time on the terrace or in our room.
Interesting cafes, restaurants and individualist shops nearby. The gentleman on reception was remarkably helpful and the research that I had undertaken on good local restaurants was confirmed and enhanced by his recommendations. A peaceful place and good value to return to again.

We were lucky to have one of the rooms with the balcony where we spent much time, starting from breakfast which was copious and which we ordered in to take on the balcony. The room itself is very high-ceilinged and cool even without the air conditioning, with old tiles on the floor. A huge bathroom with some quirky period features. The furnishings are old-fashioned but spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable (but as in many hotels in Italy 'double bed' means two beds pushed together).
We were in the room nearest to the road out of the string of rooms all opening to the balcony, but the noise from traffic on the road is not in any way a problem as the road is not very busy. Being on the Oltrarno where the hotel is located, is altogether a much more peaceful experience compared to many hotels in the tourist-overrun centre.
This is a really lovely, romantic place with a lot of charm, and is highly recommended.

This hotel was amazing.
Everything we wanted to compliment our Firenze experience. We spent seven days at Annalena.
The hotel staff greeted us as if we were family. That attitude remained throughout our entire stay.
Our balcony overlooked the gardens and we took breakfast there daily. Our room was bright and airy and spacious.
The Annalena is located in the midst of everything we wanted to see.
We went on to Switzerland, France & Spain but our hearts remain in Firenze.
We will definately return to Annalena.

This hotel is fabulous!
The room is huge with a balacony, decor is 14th century.
The staff are very friendly. On our arrival we were a little weary and the lady straight away made us a cup of tea & cappuccino.
Breakfast was included in the price.
I cannot fault this hotel or it's staff. It was our favourite hotel while we travelled through Italy.
I would happily stay there again and recommend it to everyone!

Bell'albergo situato in zona centrale a pochi passi da ponte vecchio e di fronte ai giardini di Boboli.
Le camere sono molto belle e ben arredate, buono per un piacevole soggiorno.
Molto indicato per la Maratona di Firenze.

Ottimo albergo sotto molti punti di vista!
La struttura è molto bella, elegante. Lo staff davvero disponibile, gentile e sempre a disposizione a qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte!
Buffet della colazione ricco sia per colazione dolce e salata.
Buona anche la posizione: a 10 min. a piedi a Ponte Vecchio e quindi tutto il centro storico.
